About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced

Software Development Lead

with strong expertise in

Mainframe technologies

and

Java-based platforms . The ideal candidate will lead design and implementation for complex system enhancements and drive modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Lead design and implementation decisions for complex system enhancements. Develop and maintain applications using

Mainframe technologies

(COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2). Work on modernization projects using

Java ,

Spring Boot ,

REST APIs , and

Microservices . Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, tech leads, and quality engineers. Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Drive cloud adoption strategies and containerization using

Kubernetes . Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years

of experience in software development. 6+ years

of hands-on Mainframe development experience. 2-3+ years

of experience with

Java

and related technologies. Expert-level knowledge in

Mainframe technologies : COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2. Knowledge of IMS / IDMS. Ability and passion to learn modern platforms such as

EJB, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kubernetes . Experience with relational databases (DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar). Experience implementing

Microservice Architecture patterns . Working knowledge of

MuleSoft ,

Azure Cloud , and

Kubernetes . Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field (preferred).

Preferred Background Experience in

Financial Services

domain.
