We are hiring a

Functional Data Governance Expert

for a

U.S.-based financial institution . This is a

purely functional role (no technical development)

where the candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to implement

data governance standards, data quality frameworks, and Critical Data Element (CDE) management

across core banking domains. The ideal candidate should have strong

banking product knowledge

and experience implementing

data governance and data quality practices . Key Responsibilities Define and implement

data governance policies and standards

across banking domains such as

Customer/KYC, Deposits, Loans, and Payments . Identify and document

Critical Data Elements (CDEs) . Establish

data ownership and data stewardship models . Define and implement

data quality rules and monitoring frameworks . Track

data quality metrics and governance KPIs . Investigate

data quality issues and perform root cause analysis . Work closely with

business stakeholders, product teams, risk, compliance, and technology teams . Required Experience ✔ 7+ years of experience in

Data Governance / Data Management / Business Data Analysis

within

Banking or Financial Services ✔ Strong knowledge of

Customer/KYC, Deposits, Loans/Lending, and Payments data ✔ Experience defining

Data Quality rules, CDEs, and data stewardship models ✔ Experience working with

cross-functional business and technology teams Preferred Skills Experience with

Data Governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica) Familiarity with

BCBS 239, AML/KYC data governance practices Strong
