Build the Business School for the AI-Native Economy

What if you could build a business programme from first principles? Not inherit a curriculum designed in the 1990s, but genuinely reimagine what business education looks like when AI is transforming every industry and the most valuable skill is not analysis—but creation. We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Founding Chair of our Department of Technology Business Management—someone who has both built products and built teams. Someone who believes the next generation of business leaders should ship AI products, not just study case studies about them.

About "University of Design, Innovation & Technology", UDIT (formerly know as "Indian Institute of Art & Design", IIAD UDIT is India’s first university built around convergence—not silos. Built on the foundation of IIAD, which has spent a decade pioneering studio-based design education, UDIT extends that model across Design and Management, with technology woven throughout. Our BBA in Technology Business Management is an AI-native business degree. Students build AI products, run growth experiments on live products, and launch ventures. Every graduate leaves with 10+ shipped products in their portfolio. The capstone isn’t a thesis—it’s a launched startup, a consulting engagement, or applied AI research.

Your Role As Founding Chair, you will: Build the curriculum

that produces India’s next generation of Product Managers, AI strategists, tech founders, and technology consultants Recruit and lead the faculty

—practitioners who have shipped products, built companies, or led AI strategy at the highest levels Establish industry partnerships

for live projects, internships, and placements with India’s leading tech companies and startups Teach and mentor

the founding cohorts—shaping young builders directly in the classroom and studio Key Responsibilities Design and evolve the BBA in Technology Business Management curriculum with AI integrated across 100% of courses Build assessment through portfolio reviews, product demos, and pitch presentations—not memory-based exams Recruit practitioner faculty from top tech companies, startups, consulting firms, and VC Establish the industry mentor network (100+ professionals) and advisory board Create integrated projects with the School of Design where business and design students build together Achieve enrollment targets and strong placement outcomes for founding cohorts Required Qualifications 10+ years of combined experience in technology, product, strategy, or related fields—with meaningful time spent building products, companies, or programmes Demonstrated expertise in Product Management, AI/ML applications, Technology Strategy, Venture Building, or Technology Consulting Leadership experience—building and leading teams in industry, academia, or both Teaching or mentoring ability; formal academic experience valued but not required for exceptional industry leaders Master’s degree minimum (MBA, MS, or related); PhD valued but not required Strong networks in India’s technology ecosystem
