About the Company Guide Point Holdings is an accounting and technology-focused firm that acquires and transforms traditional accounting firms by modernizing their technology stack, operational processes, and data infrastructure. Our mission is to help accounting firms operate significantly more efficiently and reduce the workload on firm principals. During peak tax season, many accounting firm owners work 80–100 hours per week. Our goal is to redesign systems, processes, and technology so firm principals can operate their businesses with 40–45 hour workweeks while maintaining high-quality service and profitability.

We achieve this by implementing modern software systems, automation, data architecture, and integrated workflows across multiple platforms. As we continue scaling and acquiring firms, we are looking for a highly capable technical engineer who can design and implement data architecture, integrations, and automation across our growing technology ecosystem.

About the Role The Data & Integrations Engineer designs and implements data architecture, system integrations, and automation workflows across a complex, multi-platform technology ecosystem. Reporting to leadership, you will translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, systems integration, and automation architecture.

This role focuses on creating seamless data flow between SaaS platforms, building reliable integrations, structuring operational data for analytics, and eliminating manual processes to drive efficiency across acquired accounting firms. You will collaborate closely with leadership on product vision while owning the technical implementation that powers streamlined operations, analytics, and decision-making.

Ideal for a systems-thinking engineer passionate about building scalable infrastructure in dynamic, multi-software environments within the accounting and professional services space.

Responsibilities Design and build API-based integrations and webhooks between core platforms including Zoho One (CRM, Sign, Bookings, Analytics), Karbon (practice management, workflows, billing), Soraban (document collection, tax prep connectivity, delivery), various tax software systems, and NetSuite (ERP for financials, billing, reporting). Architect scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to centralize operational data from disparate systems. Develop automation workflows and event-based triggers to eliminate manual tasks and enhance cross-system efficiency. Clean, transform, and structure raw operational data for reliable use in analytics and reporting. Support building and maintaining data lakes/warehouses, analytics infrastructure, and dashboards (potentially leveraging Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or similar). Configure SaaS platforms to optimize workflows and improve overall system architecture. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in integrations handling financial, client, and tax-related information. Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to understand workflows and implement technical solutions that support firm efficiency and KPI tracking. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to evolving the future data vision. Perform additional technical duties to support scaling operations and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience in data engineering, integrations engineering, or software engineering with a focus on SaaS ecosystems. Strong proficiency in REST APIs, webhooks, ETL processes, SQL/databases, and data pipeline development. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and/or data tools (Snowflake, data warehouses/lakes). Demonstrated ability to design scalable system architectures and integrations in multi-tool environments. Advanced programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar for automation/integration work). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and systems-thinking abilities. Strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical implementations. Ability to work from 4pm - 2am IST Monday-Friday.

Key Competencies Experience with SaaS integrations (ideally including Zoho ecosystem, NetSuite, Karbon, or similar accounting/practice management tools). Familiarity with accounting, tax, or financial software/data workflows. Proficiency in data modeling, cleaning, transformation, and analytics pipeline support. Knowledge of automation tools, event-driven systems, and workflow orchestration. Comfort in fast-paced, evolving environments with complex multi-system landscapes. Strong attention to detail, reliability in handling sensitive financial/operational data, and commitment to scalable, maintainable solutions. Passion for modernizing legacy processes in professional services and interest in accounting firm operations. Proactive mindset with initiative to identify and implement improvements.
