Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable geospatial data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation of large mobility and POI datasets.
Develop and optimize complex spatial SQL queries (PostGIS/BigQuery GIS/Spatial extensions) for high-performance analytics.
Build geospatial processing workflows using Python (GeoPandas, Shapely, etc.).
Manage and optimize spatial indexing, tiling strategies (e.g., H3), and geospatial data storage architectures.
Perform spatial operations such as buffering, clustering, point-in-polygon, spatial joins, proximity analysis, and geofencing.
Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to support advanced spatial modeling and mobility analytics.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance in spatial datasets.
Research and integrate alternative geospatial data sources into the existing data ecosystem.
Support deployment of geospatial services and APIs for internal and external consumption.
