Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Embroidery Head
to lead and manage the embroidery department across couture & bespoke orders.
This role requires strong expertise in
karigar handling, execution planning, QC control, and timeline discipline , ensuring every piece meets luxury finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Karigar & Resource Management
• Manage and supervise karigars & embroidery units
• Allocate work based on design & delivery priorities
• Maintain productivity & discipline within the team
• Build and sustain a reliable artisan network
• Monitor workmanship quality
2️⃣ Embroidery Execution Control
• Oversee embroidery work from sampling to final execution
• Ensure designs are executed accurately
• Maintain consistency in techniques & finishes
• Prevent design misinterpretation
3️⃣ Timeline & Delivery Management
• Plan embroidery schedules as per order deadlines
• Ensure strict on-time completion
• Anticipate delays & resolve proactively
• Coordinate urgent / priority jobs
4️⃣ Quality Control (QC)
• Conduct QC checks at various embroidery stages
• Ensure finishing meets couture / luxury standards
• Detect & correct defects early
• Avoid rework, damages & errors
5️⃣ Coordination & Follow-Ups
• Coordinate with design & production teams
• Maintain clarity of embroidery layouts & instructions
• Follow up daily with karigars / vendors
• Ensure smooth workflow
6️⃣ Sampling & Development
• Execute embroidery samples as per design briefs
• Suggest suitable techniques & placements
• Support design innovation
7️⃣ Cost & Material Awareness
• Monitor embroidery consumption & wastage
• Control thread / adda / material usage
• Avoid unnecessary cost leakages
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong embroidery technical knowledge
• Expertise in couture / bridal / luxury garments
• Karigar & vendor handling experience
• High attention to detailing
• Deadline-driven mindset
• QC & finishing expertise
• Problem-solving ability
• Strong communication & leadership
Experience Required
• Minimum
3–5 years
in embroidery leadership / senior role
• Couture / Bespoke / Luxury Fashion preferred
Preferred Technical Knowledge
✔ Hand embroidery techniques
✔ Adda work / Zardozi / Aari / Resham / Sequins etc.
✔ Luxury finishing standards
✔ Sampling & layout interpretation
