Senior PHP Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and analytical PHP Developer with 6–9 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate combines strong programming fundamentals with analytical thinking, proactive monitoring, and effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony). - Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. - Perform unit testing and maintain code quality using tools such as SonarQube, when applicable. - Participate in the full SDLC, including requirement analysis, design discussions, development, testing, and deployment. - Implement RESTful APIs, integrate with external systems, and ensure secure data handling. - Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning of applications and SQL queries. - Proactively monitor application health and performance using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools. - Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and front-end teams to ensure smooth delivery and integration. - Participate in code reviews and share constructive feedback for continuous improvement. - Document technical solutions and contribute to process enhancements.

Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in PHP 8 and object-oriented programming. - Solid experience in Laravel or similar MVC frameworks. - Strong in MySQL (schema design, optimization, and complex queries). - Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX for integration support. - Work with UI frameworks like React or Angular (when applicable) and ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG compliance). - Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitLab, or GitHub). - Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) or other cloud environments. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or automated deployment tools. - Experience with application monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, CloudWatch, ELK Stack) is a plus.
