R109686**Senior Product Manager****About the Team**:Elsevier's Research Data Platform (RDP) provides datasets and data linking capabilities which enable researchers and research leaders to make high value decisions with confidence. The RDP is organized around core entities in the world of research, such as R&D organizations, researchers, and publications. The RDP’s Person Domain is chartered with leading the technical and commercial development of the industry leading Researcher profiling, matching, feedback, and curation capabilities that are leveraged by Scopus, SciVal and other Elsevier applications, as long as by individual customers as stand-alone Data Products. Person Domain leverages a combination of leading Data Science technologies to build comprehensive and accurate researcher profiles to empower research leaders and administrators with highly confident insights. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our core team.**About the role:**The Senior Product Manager for the Person Domain in the Research Data Platform will define and lead the execution of the roadmap for the individual data products and capabilities within the domain. This role involves identifying and understanding new customer needs, evaluating product hypotheses, and proposing solutions to address these needs. You will be the domain expert in internal and customer-facing meetings**Responsibilities:*** Define the roadmap for the individual data products/capabilities within the domain in line with technical and commercial goals for the RDP* Lead the execution of the roadmap for the individual products/capabilities within the domain with focus on the timely delivery.* Identify and understand new customer needs, evaluate product hypotheses, and propose solutions to address the needs, including working with product leads for flagship products such as Scopus, Pure and Interfolio.* Work with key RDP stakeholders including portfolio leadership and Domain Tech and Operations Leads on developing viable business cases that demonstrate a clear commercial benefit.* Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes managed by the Person Domain and be the domain expert in internal and customer-facing meetings.* Work cooperatively with other team members in Bangalore, London, Amsterdam and other locations**Requirements:*** 5+ years in Product Management/Product ownership and preferably 7+ years in the industry in product development roles, experience in Data Products is a plus* Ability to successfully develop and grow products using data-driven, iterative product development approach.* Proven experience in leading product discovery, strong knowledge of product discovery techniques* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve results.* Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically.* Experience in in various technologies to assist day-to-day tasks (Databricks, Jira, Miro, Tableau, etc.), data science techniques and technical architecture principles and best practices (e.g. Data Mesh).* Education to Qualify: Bachelors or Masters degree required with a technical discipline (Computer Science or Engineering) being preferred but not essential.* Knowledge of the workflows and needs of researchers is a plus**Work in a way that works for you: -**We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
