Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our General Ledger (GL) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Journal Entry Management:Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Account Reconciliations:Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis. - Variance Analysis:Analyze fluctuations in financial results and provide insightful commentary on key drivers for variances against budget or prior periods. - Financial Statement Support:Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with applicable GAAP/IFRS standards. - Audit and Compliance:Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and assist in implementation of automation or controls where applicable. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with other finance teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA preferred - 4–6 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roles - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards - Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
