We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and telecom solutions. He/she will design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases, identify and track defects, and work closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality products. A strong understanding of Linux environments, scripting languages, and database systems is essential. Experience in the telecom domain will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements. Execute test cases and analyze test results, identifying and documenting defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce. Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing. Work closely with developers to understand the root cause of defects and verify fixes. Utilize and maintain test environments, ensuring they are properly configured for testing activities. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using scripting languages. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies. Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability. Generate test reports and provide timely updates on testing progress and defect status. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations. Troubleshoot and analyze issues in Linux-based environments. Interact with and query databases such as MySQL and Redis for test setup and data verification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 4 to 7 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Solid experience working in Linux environments and using command-line tools. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell scripting, Perl). Hands-on experience with database systems such as MySQL and Redis, including writing and executing SQL queries. Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the telecom domain, including understanding of telecom protocols, network architectures, and testing methodologies specific to the industry. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, pytest, Robot Framework). Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing within those environments. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
