We are seeking a

Civil Engineer

with proven experience in

subsea marine electrical cable projects

to join a landmark

national energy-infrastructure development

on

Masirah Island, Oman . This project involves the installation of a

subsea power connection

linking Masirah Island to Oman’s national grid — a vital component of the country’s long-term plan to enhance energy reliability and interconnectivity between regions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate

civil and marine construction works

related to subsea power cable landings and associated coastal infrastructure. You will be part of an international engineering team delivering technically challenging

marine and offshore interface works

under demanding environmental and logistical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage

marine civil works

linked to

subsea cable installation , including landfalls, transition joints, and shore protection. Review and verify

design drawings, geotechnical/geophysical data , and

construction method statements . Ensure all works comply with

HSE , quality, and environmental requirements. Liaise with marine contractors, survey teams, and multidisciplinary project stakeholders. Monitor progress, prepare site reports, and support the timely delivery of project milestones.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in

Civil Engineering

or a related field. 5+ years’ experience

in

marine and subsea electrical cable projects , ideally involving shore crossings or cable landings. Solid understanding of

marine structures ,

geotechnics , and

coastal engineering principles . Experience with

offshore/marine EPC projects

or

energy transmission infrastructure

preferred. Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
