Lead - Procurement Cutting Tools

Job Responsibilities

To support and manage procurement operations for direct materials including cutting tools, Packing materials, in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring timely material availability, cost optimization, and supplier performance to meet production targets.

- Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies for mass production materials. - Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid production delays. - Coordinate with suppliers for order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and quality compliance. - Support cost reduction initiatives through: - Inventory optimization and control. - Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs. - Negotiation of extended payment terms and better commercial terms. - Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier scorecards. - Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to align procurement with operational needs. - Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure ERP system updates. - Identify alternate suppliers and support supplier development initiatives. - Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.

Qualification & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). - 5–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain in a high-volume manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of direct materials used in electronics or precision manufacturing. - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
