TRANSPORTATION SOURCING SPECIALIST

As

Transportation Sourcing Specialist , you are responsible for managing end-to-end transportation sourcing and supplier management. This includes identifying and evaluating logistics service providers, aligning them with internal stakeholders, and ensuring efficient operations. The position leads market research, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and onboarding processes. It also focuses on optimizing logistics solutions, analyzing total cost to serve, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain to enhance performance and cost efficiency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Identify and assess potential logistics service providers to meet business needs.

Align logistics partners with internal stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency.

Conduct market research and strategic sourcing to build a qualified supplier pool.

Lead vendor selection and commercial negotiations, including payment terms, service rates, and customized agreements.

Manage supplier onboarding and oversee contract execution.

Ensure successful implementation of logistics solutions.

Analyze total cost to serve and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Recommend lean logistics designs and efficient supply network models.

Evaluate supply chain performance and propose improvements.

Drive continuous improvement across logistics and supply chain functions.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation sourcing or supply chain management.

Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics principles.

Proven skills in supplier development, negotiation, and contract management.

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Excellent analytical and strategic decision‑making abilities.

Strong communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management tools is an advantage.
