Project Engineer

About the Role As a Project Engineer at Safran Electronics & Defense, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of complex engineering, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure successful outcomes.

This position is Project Based 1-3 Years under Third Party Management.

Job Description

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and on‑site personnel to ensure projects are executed according to plan, schedule, and requirements.

Support the Project Manager in managing project activities, timelines, and deliverables.

Handle and monitor 2–4 projects simultaneously.

Ensure smooth project coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and other related functions.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixture requirements.

Conduct technical risk analysis and support mitigation planning.

Monitor project progress and escalation major issues or risks to the Project Manager when necessary.

Support project execution during peak phases, including extended working hours or on‑call support when required.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project engineering or a related role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of:

Engineering drawings

Manufacturing processes

Tooling and fixture concepts

Technical risk analysis

Proficient in engineering design tools such as NX and/or AutoCAD (preferred).

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.

Solid technical analysis and problem‑solving skills.

Good time management and prioritization skills in a multi‑project environment.

Able to work independently for low‑ to medium‑complexity decisions and escalate high‑impact issues appropriately.

Fast, agile, and adaptable working style with a balanced technical and coordination mindset.
