CNC Shop Supervisor

Overview We are launching a brand-new CNC division and are seeking a hands‑on CNC Shop Supervisor to lead it from the ground up. This new role in Satu Bumi offers full ownership, from designing the shop floor, purchasing through to installation & setup of new equipment, to building a high‑performing team and driving operational excellence.

Initially, you will lead the technical setup of the division. Once operational, you will transition into full production leadership, overseeing output, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

10+ years’ experience in CNC machining across programming, setup, and production.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Experience launching new CNC operations.

Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead CNC teams.

Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, SOP development, and production control.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

Confident in communicating in English.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Division Setup & Infrastructure

Design the CNC shop layout for efficient flow, safety, and Lean operation.

Select, install, and commission CNC machines, tooling, and equipment.

Oversee CNC equipment maintenance and facility readiness.

Ensure environmental and safety compliance across the CNC area.

Workflow, SOPs & Systems

Develop and implement SOPs for CNC operations, safety, and programming.

Establish Lean workflows and production controls.

Implement and maintain the CNC Quality Management System (ISO 9001).

Recruit, onboard, and train CNC operators and programmers.

Build an effective CNC team structure and set performance expectations.

Lead daily goals, performance reviews, and staff development.

Ensure a safe, engaged, and high‑performing workplace.

Production & Delivery

Own all CNC production orders and scheduling.

Act as the primary contact for CNC production issues.

Lead daily CNC production meetings with key stakeholders.

Ensure on‑time delivery and accurate production reporting.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Maintain full accountability for CNC output quality.

Ensure staff training, machine output, and scheduling meet quality standards.

Drive continuous improvement and customer‑focused outcomes.
