Tooling Manager - Based in Batam

Working hours: Mondays to Fridays Office Hour

Responsibilities Lead and manage the Batam tooling team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Oversee tooling fabrication, modification, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.

Provide technical guidance on tool design, manufacturing processes, and engineering solutions.

Act as the main technical liaison for customers and collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project delivery.

Plan workflows, production schedules, and resource allocation for the Batam tool shop.

Support the transition of tooling operations from Singapore to Batam.

Drive operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement.

Work closely with QA teams to ensure tooling meets required standards and validation requirements.

Requirements At least 10 years of experience in plastic injection mould tooling, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.

Proven expertise in tool design, precision machining, tool assembly, and mould validation.

Proficient in CAD/CAM systems such as NX, SolidWorks, and Mastercam, with hands‑on knowledge of machining processes including EDM, CNC, and grinding.

Strong understanding of DFM principles, mould flow analysis, materials, and injection moulding processes.
