Process Engineering Manager (Oleochemical)

Job Description

In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening and optimizing oleochemical processes, working closely with cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency, ensure product quality, and drive sustainable plant performance.

As part of this journey, you will lead and deliver the following key initiatives:

Lead and manage daily oleochemical process operations to ensure optimal production efficiency, quality, and safety performance.

Monitor and optimize key process parameters to achieve yield improvement, cost efficiency, and energy optimization.

Ensure full compliance with company standards, GMP, HSE, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including debottlenecking, process optimization, and loss reduction.

Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve process issues and improve plant reliability.

Review and approve process documentation such as SOPs, PFDs, P&IDs, and operating manuals.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations, incidents, and quality issues, and implement corrective actions.

Support commissioning, start‑up, and stabilization of new units or process modifications.

Manage and develop the process engineering team through coaching, performance review, and capability building.

Provide technical input for CAPEX projects, MOC (Management of Change), and plant expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum

15 years of hands‑on experience

in

oleochemical process operations , preferably in large‑scale manufacturing plants.

Proven track record in

continuous improvement , including process optimization, debottlenecking, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

Strong technical expertise in

oleochemical processes

(fatty acid, fatty alcohol, glycerine, esterification, and distillation).

Solid understanding of

process safety, HSE standards, and regulatory compliance

in a plant environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead

process troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA) , and corrective action implementation across functions.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication skills, and willingness to be based in

Dumai, Riau, Indonesia

in a site‑based operational role.
