Purchasing Officer

Job Specification Identify and source suppliers for raw materials, spare parts, equipment, and services required by the company. Request and evaluate quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure accuracy of specifications and quantities. Monitor delivery status to ensure on-time supply and prevent production delays. Coordinate with warehouse and user departments regarding material requirements and stock levels. Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery reliability. Maintain proper documentation and purchasing records in accordance with company procedures. Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Job Qualification Bachelor’s Degree (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing company. Experience handling raw materials, spare parts, or indirect materials is an advantage. Good understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management. Ability to negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Basic knowledge of inventory control and supply chain processes. Strong analytical and cost awareness skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
