Legal Associate

Job Description

Provide clear, strategic, and pragmatic legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day operations and key business initiatives

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and legal documents, including commercial agreements and partnership arrangements

Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments relevant to the company’s operations, especially in the travel and financial services sectors

Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and risk mitigation strategies in relation to new and existing products, and other key business initiatives

Support organic business expansion plans by advising on legal implications of the new key initiatives or new market (as relevant)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal and business risks and help develop practical solutions

Support legal awareness initiatives and provide basic training to other departments on legal-related topics

Conduct periodic internal legal reviews or audits to ensure the fulfillment of all legal compliances and obligations of the relevant products

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university

Minimum 3 years of experience as an in-house counsel or at a reputable law firm; experience in the travel or financial services industry is preferred

Excellent knowledge in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and risk analysis

Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and business acumen in providing legal advice

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

High level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple projects simultaneously

Fluent in English, both spoken and written
