Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Manager
to lead electrical system delivery for Nscale’s hyperscale data centre project in Norway. You will manage the technical execution of electrical packages from design coordination through construction, commissioning, and handover.
This owner-side role demands deep knowledge of high-voltage, low-voltage, UPS, and backup generation systems. You will ensure electrical works are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet Nscale’s safety, performance, and quality standards, while maintaining seamless integration with other building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all electrical construction activities, ensuring works meet design intent, schedule, and technical standards.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, statutory requirements, applicable standards, and HSE regulations relevant to the project location
Review and validate design drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for constructability and compliance.
Manage on-site interfaces between electrical systems and other disciplines (Mechanical, Controls, CSA).
Monitor and report on progress, identify risks, and support schedule recovery planning across all electrical packages, ensuring visibility and alignment across the wider delivery team.
Oversee quality assurance, inspections, and testing throughout installation and commissioning phases.
Support integrated systems testing (IST) and ensure complete verification and documentation of electrical systems.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
Promote a culture of safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
Qualifications
7+ years’ experience managing electrical delivery including within data centre or pharmaceutical projects.
Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, power conditioning, and controls systems essential.
Strong commissioning (CX) expertise across all MV/LV power systems, including active support of Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
Proven experience in coordinating design, installation, and commissioning activities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiar with project reporting and scheduling tools
Fluent in English; additional European languages advantageous.
