Utility Specialist

Job Description

Supervises, coordinates, and monitors utility plant activities; maintains equipment and performs related duties to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of boilers, WTP, WWTP, Power Room, Compressor, Chiller, Cooling Tower and Genset. Oversees operation of plant domestic water systems in accordance with law and effects changes as directed by qualified Water Systems Operators; supervises routine steam, water and condensate systems analysis and chemical treatment of industrial water systems. Coordinate activities and programs with those of other divisions in Engineering. Daily reporting to maintenance manager related duties. Uses a computer to create, compose, and edit technical and/or administrative correspondence, reports, operating procedures, and documentation. Plans, schedules, and monitors all work being performed by contractors and physical plant employees within area of responsibility. Ensures proper documentation of operations activities or incident reports. Comply with all established GMP, HACCP guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures. Responsible for the implementation of FSSC 22000 in the plant area. Flexibility to adjust schedule to work with employees from all shifts as required. Works overtime as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.
