We are looking for a Buyer Fresh Food to source, evaluate, negotiate, and buy products for resale. Responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating, calculating costs, and making trading terms with suppliers. You will also be responsible for monitoring fresh food stocks and managing day-to-day procurement activities to ensure stock availability. We expect our buyers to suggest new products, review old ones, and be up to date with market trends. Responsibilities: Direct sourcing of vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry and grocery, ensuring that supplies meet quality standards and are competitively priced. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed. Interview and visit suppliers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices. Negotiate price and trading terms with suppliers; work out policies with suppliers, such as when products will be delivered and terms of payment. Develop internal operating procedures for procurement. Meet with staff and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods and SLA and determine corrective action. Evaluate and monitor suppliers to ensure they comply with the terms of agreement. Maintain records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories; constantly evaluate cost-saving measures. Monitor inventory levels to make purchase decisions and ensure availability of stock. Monitor margins, competitor pricing, and market price points; conduct reguler market surveys and analysis. Stay up to date with consumer market trends and opportunities. Travelling on a regular basis. Qualifications

Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate multiple vendors and determine the best deals for the company. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to objectively use information gathered from research to make purchasing decisions. Street smarts and negotiating skills. Ability to make clear presentations and reports. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
