Automation & Electrical Engineer

About the role We are looking for a highly skilled Automation & Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Formulatrix Indonesia. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced automation systems and electrical solutions for special‑purpose machines that are essential to our manufacturing operations. Based in Central Java, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative company.

What you’ll be doing Analyze and improve existing production processes to identify opportunities for automation potential and industrial‑grade standardization.

Design and develop electrical and control systems including PLC, HMI, and communication networks.

Conduct prototyping, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.

Create and maintain technical documentation and standardization systems for electrical and programming components.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate automation needs into technical and budgetary plans.

Learn and support mechanical (design, manufacture & fabrication) and OOP-based software programming when required.

What we’re looking for

Diploma (D3) in Mechatronics, or related field (vocational graduates with relevant experience are welcome).

Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and programming roles for industrial automation projects.

Strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, and automation control systems.

Proficient in reading and designing electrical circuit diagrams, wiring layouts, and flowcharts.

Understanding of software and hardware integration between mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Strong Knowledge of industrial‑grade component standards (CE, UL, ISO, IEC, etc.).

Familiarity with mechanical design (3D CAD) and OOP programming languages (C#, C++, Java, Python) is a plus.

Experience with manual and CNC manufacturing & fabrication is a plus.

Strong analytical, creative, and problem‑solving mindset.

Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Willing to work in a dynamic, innovative and multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Applicants must be willing to work on‑site in Salatiga.
