Data Engineer

Psychologist | Talent Acquisition | Talent Mapping & Development | Assessor Responsibilities:

Data Cleansing & Quality Assurance

Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to identify and define data requirements for analysis.

Partner with relevant departments or stakeholders to gather and provide the necessary data sources.

Conduct data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy by eliminating duplicates, inconsistencies, and invalid entries.

Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support data transformation and validation processes.

Data Security & Compliance

Manage data encryption, masking, and tokenization to safeguard company data privacy and integrity.

Conduct regular data security audits and identify potential risks.

Develop and monitor the implementation of policies related to privacy, data access management, and backup & disaster recovery to protect data from loss or ransomware attacks.

Establish risk mitigation measures in the event of a data breach.

Big Database Management & Cloud Computing

Manage large-scale relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases using platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS, and Google Cloud to support machine learning models.

Maintain data warehouses and cloud computing environments as centralized repositories for big data collection and storage.

Optimize queries and indexing to improve data access efficiency.

Monitor database backup and restore processes to ensure data availability and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Database Administrator.

Strong knowledge of:

Python, Scala, or other relevant programming languages for scripting and data processing.

ETL tools (Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica).

Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and data security technologies.

Big Data tools (Apache Spark, Hadoop).
