Job Role
The Data Center Project Director (DC PD) will be responsible for the end-to-end management of data center projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeframes. The role requires strong project management expertise in data center infrastructure, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Lead and oversee end-to-end data center project management, from initiation to completion; ensure strict adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution; serve as the main point of contact for project-related communications.
Planning & Control:
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor and report progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance based on a strong background in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering; support risk mitigation, issue resolution, and change management throughout the lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Present updates, strategies, and solutions to internal and external stakeholders; align project outcomes with business objectives and the company's global standards.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
Bachelorโs degree or higher in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
More than 5 years of handsโon experience in Data Center projects, particularly infrastructure involving design, integration, and implementation; experience delivering largeโscale data centers (>500 racks).
Technical Expertise:
Strong expertise in electrical and HVAC system design; familiar with data center bidding, standards, and integration testing (TCCF).
Professional Skills:
Strong adaptability, team collaboration, resilience in multicultural settings; excellent communication, presentation, negotiation skills; willing to travel globally, especially within the AsiaโPacific region.
Language:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
