A rapidly expanding global POS and integrated business solutions provider is seeking a dynamic
Country Manager
to lead its Indonesia operations. The company offers end‑to‑end solutions for SMEs, including transaction, finance, and accounting platforms. This leader will play a crucial role in driving market penetration and establishing strong merchant adoption across the country.
Role Overview
The Country Manager will spearhead Indonesia's market growth, focusing on fast and scalable SME (UKM) acquisition. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on commercial leader with deep field sales experience, strong merchant networks, and a proven background in POS, payments, or SME‑focused technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Merchant Acquisition
Lead nationwide SME (UKM) acquisition to rapidly grow the merchant base.
Drive canvassing, in‑person merchant visits, product demos, and onboarding activities.
Develop and implement go‑to‑market strategies suited to Indonesia's SME landscape.
Monitor market movements and competitors in POS, payments, and merchant solutions.
Commercial & Sales Leadership
Build, lead, and motivate a high‑performing sales team with strong field execution.
Set sales KPIs, acquisition targets, and pipeline forecasting.
Establish sales processes, compliance standards, and performance reviews.
Solution Offering & Customer Success
Promote and educate SMEs on the full suite of solutions (transactions, finance, accounting).
Ensure merchants adopt the platform effectively to improve their business operations.
Drive retention and expansion through strong relationship management.
Partnership Development
Leverage broad SME, retail, and payment ecosystem networks to unlock strategic opportunities.
Build partnerships with banks, payment providers, distributors, and SME communities.
Operations, Compliance & Country Leadership
Oversee Indonesia operations ensuring compliance with global standards.
Align local strategy with regional/global leadership expectations.
Own and manage the Indonesia P&L, driving sustainable growth.
Requirements
10 to 15 years of experience with strong exposure to POS, payments, fintech, or SME solutions.
Proven field sales background with hands‑on canvassing and direct merchant acquisition.
Mandatory industry experience in POS, payment solutions, or merchant services.
Experience working in a multinational company or global environment.
High integrity, strong compliance orientation, and professional ethics.
Comfortable in fast‑paced, rapidly scaling environments.
Extensive network within Indonesia's SME, merchant, retail, and payment sectors.
Excellent communication skills; collaborative and transparent.
Strong ownership mindset and entrepreneurial drive.
