Part Time English Tutor

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Part-Time English Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to teach both Primary and Secondary students, deliver engaging lessons, and help students strengthen their foundation, writing, comprehension, and exam techniques. You will play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and nurturing their confidence in English.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured English lessons for Primary and Secondary students according to the centre’s curriculum and MOE syllabus.

Conduct classes in small-group or individual settings, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and tailored to students' needs.

Mark assignments, compositions, worksheets, and provide constructive feedback to students.

Track students’ progress and communicate updates to parents when necessary.

Prepare students for school exams and assessments, including PSLE, O-Levels, and weighted assessments.

Support the development and improvement of teaching materials, worksheets, and resources.

Maintain a positive, disciplined, and nurturing learning environment.

Work closely with the academic team to ensure consistency in lesson quality and teaching methods.

Requirements

Strong command of English (written and spoken).

Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred (centre-based or MOE experience is a plus).

Comfortable teaching both Primary and Secondary levels.

Passionate about teaching and patient with students of differing abilities.

Able to teach on weekdays and weekends according to centre schedule.

Responsible, punctual, and committed to long-term teaching.
