Your new role
The Iran affiliate of Novo Nordisk, based in Tehran, is hiring for the position of Cost Accountant.
Your key responsabilities will be:
Assist in managing the cost cycle, including posting purchasing documents and related accounting entries (local/foreign material invoices, customs, landing costs).
Support inventory accounting activities and contribute to reconciliations.
Help ensure accurate and timely calculation of the Cost of Production.
Assist with both system‑based and manual costing processes.
Conduct cost variance analysis across materials, labor, overhead, and production.
Prepare basic cost reports and summaries for management and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities with guidance.
Communicate effectively with finance, procurement, supply chain, and production teams to support smooth processes.
Your new department
You will join the Finance & Operations department in our Tehran affiliate, where we conduct the financial and accounting operations of the organisation.
Our areas of responsibility include preparing budgets, reports, forecasts, and statutory returns; managing cost accounting systems and cash flow; and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The department is dynamic and fast-paced, with a strong focus on collaboration and excellence.
You will be part of a team dedicated to driving financial insights and supporting the organisation’s goals.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Solid understanding of core finance and accounting principles, including Cost of Production, inventory, and procurement accounting.
Experience with SAP and familiarity with local ERPs (e.g., Rahkaran) is preferred.
Knowledge of production workflows, including Bill of Materials (BOM), production accounting, cost rollups, and cost allocation methods.
Understanding of fixed vs. variable costs, labor costing, and their impact on operational and P&L reporting.
Awareness of supply chain processes and how they influence product costing and financial accuracy.
