About the role
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Support Officer to join our team at PT Artha Pelago Continental (PT APC), an export company operating across Indonesia. This fullโtime position is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative and operational support to our shipping activities, ensuring the efficient and accurate completion of all related tasks.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate and process shipping activities, including but not limited to Shipping Instructions (SI), Delivery Orders (DO), Invoice, Packing List, and PEB documentation.
Liaise with internal departments and external logistics providers to ensure smooth and timely shipping operations.
Maintain accurate records and databases of all shipping activities.
Manage administrative tasks related to shipping, including scheduling, reporting, filing, and data entry.
Support the operational team, including travel to loading locations when required.
Communicate with customers regarding shipping activities and updates.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of shipping procedures.
Assist with adโhoc administrative tasks as required.
What we're looking for
Experienced Shipping Administrator with a solid background in shipping operations.
Proven experience using shipping companies' booking systems.
Industry expertise required; only candidates with relevant shipping experience will be considered.
Fluency in English is essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to travel independently to support the loading team at various locations across Indonesia.
Strong organisational and timeโmanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordโkeeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
Proactive, problemโsolving mindset with a keen eye for process improvement.
