Job Description
Technical ServiceRepresentative(TSR)- Kalimantan is responsible for delivering technical support, application engineering, and value-added services to customers and distributors in Kalimantan. The role aims to drive lubricant sales growth, improve customer retention, protect margins, and ensure optimal product performance in mining, industrial, power, off-road, on road and potential marine applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & Application Engineering
Provide on-site technical support to key customers (mining, marine, power plant, construction, forestry, industrial).
Conduct equipment lubrication audits, product recommendations, and application mapping.
Troubleshoot lubrication-related issues, including wear, contamination, overheating, oil consumption, and failures.
Support new product trials, conversions, and commissioning.
Manage used oil analysis programs for key accounts.
Interpret oil analysis reports and provide actionable recommendations to customers.
Identify early warning signs of equipment issues to reduce downtime and maintenance cost.
Use UOA insights to support value selling and contract renewals.
3. Sales & Business Support
Work closely with Sales & Key Account Managers, and Distributors to support commercial objectives.
Participate in customer presentations, technical seminars, and negotiations.
Support tender submissions with technical documents, product approvals, and compliance.
Act as a technical differentiator to defend pricing and improve margin realization.
4. Distributor Technical Capability Development
Train distributor sales and technical teams on: Product knowledge, Application understanding, Basic troubleshooting & UOA interpretation
Develop technical competency standards for distributors in Kalimantan.
Support distributor-led customer visits and demonstrations.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer
Conduct technical training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
Develop localized training materials, case studies, and best practices.
Share field learnings with Product, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
6. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all technical activities comply with HSE standards, especially for mining and marine environments.
Follow OEM, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe handling, storage, and disposal of lubricants.
7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement (Prepare regular reports on):
Technical visits and customer issues
UOA trends and performance improvements
Product trials and conversions
Identify recurring issues and recommend product or process improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the region.

Qualification & Experience
Bachelorโs degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Minimum 7โ10 years in lubricant technical services, preferably in: Mining, Marine, Heavy equipment / industrial applications, Strong field exposure in remote and site-based operations (Kalimantan experience preferred)
Strong lubrication & tribology knowledge
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
Customer-focused and commercially aware
Willingness to travel extensively within Kalimantan
Proficient in technical reporting and oil analysis interpretation

Experience in RRBO / sustainability initiatives
Familiar with mining safety and operational standards
