Role Description
Junior Litigation Associate role located in Jakarta. The Junior Litigation Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, managing pre-litigation meetings, drafting court documents, preparing for and attending court hearings, and assisting a senior associate or partner with court proceedings. The role involves regular interaction with clients and team members to ensure effective case management and strong legal representation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end litigation processes for
Civil, Criminal, Commercial, and Administrative
disputes, ensuring strategic alignment with client objectives.
Draft, review, and finalise a comprehensive range of documents, including Pre-Litigation correspondence (Warning Letters/Somasi), preparing Litigation documents (Gugatan, Jawaban, Eksepsi, Replik, Duplik, Kesimpulan, Daftar Alat Bukti), evidence, and Legal Opinions.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediation, and arbitration proceedings for civil and commercial disputes. Submit police report (Laporan Polisi), provide legal accompaniment during police investigations (Penyidikan) and clarification processes (Klarifikasi) for criminal cases.
Organising evidence bundles, managing questions for testimony, and drafting trial briefs and strategies.
Conduct in-depth legal research on complex regulations, precedents, and case laws to formulate robust case strategies.
Liaise professionally with court officials, law enforcement agencies, and opposing counsel. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, including
communicating complex legal issues effectively to international clients
in English.
Maintain case files, monitor statutory deadlines, and report case progress to Senior Partners independently.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Laws / Sarjana Hukum (S.H.) from a reputable or top-tier university with a strong academic track record. A focus on Civil, Criminal and Commercial Litigation is advantageous.
At least 2 years of handling civil, criminal, or commercial litigation. Candidates must be familiar with Indonesian procedural law (Hukum Acara) and court proceedings.
Holder of a valid
BAS (Berita Acara Sumpah)
and member of the Indonesian Advocate Association (PERADI).
Strong capability in drafting, attending and managing
civil court
procedural documents (including but not limited to draft Gugatan, Jawaban, Eksepsi, Replik, Duplik, Kesimpulan) and legal opinions. Must possess a sharp analytical mind for case strategy formulation.

The role involves reviewing international contracts and communicating with foreign clients; therefore, a
high level of written and verbal English
is non-negotiable.
Proficient in MS Office and cloud-based collaboration tools (Google Workspace).
