The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and manage all environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and compliance with all applicable local, regional, and international regulations (e.g., OSHAS, ISO, RBA). This role is a key leadership position, responsible for fostering a strong safety culture, identifying potential hazards specific to electronics manufacturing, and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the facility maintains full compliance with all relevant EHS laws and regulations, including those specific to hazardous materials handling in electronics manufacturing (e.g., Restriction of Hazardous Substances - RoHS directives).
Program Development & Implementation:
Develop, write, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs such as hazardous waste management, emergency response planning, LOTO, confined spaces, and hearing conservation.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Conduct regular safety audits, facility inspections, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to identify potential chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Incident Management:
Lead and participate in detailed incident investigations and root cause analyses for all accidents, injuries, and near misses. Develop and track corrective actions to closure.
Training and Communication:
Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors on safety protocols, proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and emergency procedures.
EHS Culture and Leadership:
Champion a "Zero Accident" or Safety-First culture across the organization, working with all departments to align safety goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 3 years in a management role. Experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is a strong plus.
Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and English communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence a safety-conscious culture.
Preferred Certifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or AK3 Professional
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
