As a Senior Data Quality Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization to identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent future problems. This position requires a strong understanding of data quality principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Role Objectives Develop and implement comprehensive data quality frameworks, rules, metrics, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems. Perform data profiling and root-cause analysis using tools like Power Query (Power BI), SAP Information Steward, Atlan, Toad Data Point, and Dataedo Web Catalog to detect and address quality issues. Design scalable data validation and monitoring pipelines using AWS Glue Data Quality and related services. Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and IT teams to remediate quality issues, ensure compliance with governance policies, and support continuous data improvement efforts. Create and maintain data quality documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and quality reports, aligning with governance standards. Lead or support data governance initiatives, contributing to policy development, and aligning procedures with frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, or internal compliance standards. Identify opportunities to enhance data quality and management processes across departments by promoting process optimization and technology adoption. Champion a data-driven culture by mentoring Business Analysts, promoting best practices, and contributing to training programs. Participate in project planning and execution phases to ensure that data quality requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered. Promote strategic thinking while ensuring tactical detail by aligning data quality efforts with business objectives and KPIs. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, technical teams, and business leaders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment. Work with both open-source and proprietary data catalog tools such as Apache Atlas, DataHub, Marquez, OpenMetadata, Alation, Collibra, Informatica EDC, Microsoft Purview, and OvalEdge. Utilize metadata and lineage tools like IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog, Oracle Enterprise Metadata Management, Alteryx Connect, and Talend Data Catalog to enhance visibility and control. Drive projects forward with a solutions-oriented mindset, navigating roadblocks efficiently while identifying and implementing productivity-enhancing process improvements.

Requirements 5+ years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field. Strong understanding of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools. Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques. Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts. Experience with data profiling, data catalog, and data quality tools (e.g., SAP Information Steward, Atlan, Toad Data Point, Dataedo Web Catalog, Apache Atlas, DataHub, Marquez, OpenMetadata, Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Great Expectations etc.). Proven proficiency within a BI platform (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organized, detail and quality-oriented individual. Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English. Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and independently applying Agile/Scrum delivery processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Attached an updated CV in English.

Education BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field is required.

Nice to have: Experience with AWS Glue Data Quality, DynamoDB, Athena, DataZone, SageMaker, Redshift, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Spark SQL, PySpark, etc. ETL and streaming data orchestration experience. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R). Experience with data governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Work Location Candidates must already be based in Latin America to support Latin America and US time zones.
