Medlog is the inland logistics arm of MSC Group. The company operates worldwide and provides door-to-door transport and logistics services, using a network of trucks, trains, barges, depots, terminals, and warehouses.
We are looking for a high caliber professional to join our Indonesia team, based in Jakarta as Procurement Supervisor.
Department Summary
The main procurement department function is to centralize the efficiency and compliance of the purchases done for the company, responsible for buying the items that are needed for an organization to run.
Position Summary
Procurement Supervisor responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The Procurement Supervisor’s duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, include locating key suppliers, negotiating the company's purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet the company's specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Management: identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of products or services.
Negotiation: negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements. Collaborate with suppliers to achieve cost reductions, favourable payment terms, and improved service levels.
Market Research: stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and potential risks affecting the supply chain. Analyse market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Contract Management: develop and manage contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements. Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues in a timely manner.
Purchase Order Processing: generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods or services.
Quality Assurance: collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased goods meet the required standards. Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.
Cost Analysis: conduct cost analyses to identify areas for potential savings and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.
Other duties as assigned.

Key Experience & Qualifications
Experienced in management of Procurement min 5-7 years.
Excellent analytical skills and Reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, prioritization, proactive and teamwork with ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and efficiency at multi-tasking with adjustable priorities.
Dynamic and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of Logistics/Depot/Transportation business principles and practices or have an experienced work in logistics company before.
Good command of both written and spoken English.
