Overview
CACTUS is a remote‑first organization. For this role we are looking for candidates based in Tokyo. You may work from home in Tokyo; however, you will be required to travel frequently for conferences, business requirements or company/team events.
We provide expert‑led academic publishing services through Editage and an AI‑powered English academic writing assistant, Paperpal, for the global academic community.
Since our founding in 2002, we have grown steadily and have been ranked No.1 in sales for four consecutive years by Tokyo Shoko Research. To further strengthen web‑based user acquisition and conversion in the Japanese market, we are hiring a Web Marketing Specialist for Editage and Paperpal.
As a member of our global team, you will leverage your English skills while helping shape the future of the academic industry. This position reports to the Web Marketing Manager and has the potential to take ownership of broader areas as a lead.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing web initiatives across our owned websites and landing pages, driving user acquisition and conversion. Through a data‑driven optimization cycle, you will enhance page experiences and user journeys tailored specifically to Japanese users.
Additionally, you will collaborate with our India headquarters for product, development and marketing.
Responsibilities
Own the planning, direction, and optimization of Japanese EC sites, service pages and landing pages.
Improve conversion rates through UI/UX enhancements, copy and content structure refinement, and form optimization based on user behaviour data.
Plan and execute campaigns to drive revenue and awareness in collaboration with the advertising team.
Lead landing‑page launches for new features and services from requirements through to launch and optimization.
Design measurement frameworks, monitor KPIs (CVR, engagement, completion rate, etc.) and deliver data‑driven improvement proposals.
Drive the implementation of improvements in collaboration with overseas teams (India HQ).

売上げやサービス認知度向上を目的としたキャンペーンの企画・LP制作・広告チームと連携した販促戦略の立案・実行
新サービス/新機能に伴うWebページ・LPの立ち上げ(要件整理〜制作進行〜公開〜改善)
社内レポートをもとにした計測設計、レポーティング、KPIモニタリング、改善提案
海外(インド本社)チームとの連携による改善要件の提案・実装推進(必要に応じて新技術の活用も含む)

Qualifications and Prerequisites
3–5 years of hands‑on web marketing experience.
Proven experience optimizing owned websites, including campaigns and new feature/service launches from scratch.
Experience in web direction (information architecture, wireframing, production management, stakeholder coordination).
Strong ability to analyse user behaviour data and improve conversion performance.
Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
Comfortable communicating in English in a business setting (regular online meetings and weekly reporting in English).
