Job Description
The Commercial Strategy & Subscriber Intelligence function drives strategic project alignment, project execution excellence, project data-driven decision-making and project effectiveness & impact review. It ensures commercial projects are well-justified, efficiently executed, and continuously optimized
through strong commercial review, governance and performance monitoring.
The position manages business planning strategic projects, oversees project delivery and performance while in the same time providing insightful subscribers intelligence analysis to support trade and marketing informed strategic decisions. By integrating strategic project management, project
governance, and subscribers intelligence, this function enhances organizational agility, resource optimization, commercial growth, to became a consumer centric organization.
Responsibilities:
Monitor post-execution commercial strategies (Actual vs Target P&L impact, budget vs spend, over/under exposure).
Align strategy milestones with financial reporting for accurate revenue and cost forecasting.
Identify gaps between projected and actual impact (revenue, margin, market share) and optimize third-party/internal costs.
Highlight commercial constraints and translate insights into actionable roadmap improvements.
Manage attribution modeling to determine key business drivers (marketing, sales incentives, market shifts).
Support policy and process improvements across strategy lifecycle (creation to review).
Prepare executive summaries and presentations for senior management.
Liaise between business units and planning teams to standardize business case methodologies.
Consolidate overall commercial strategy impact for a comprehensive helicopter view.
Design and manage “Front Door” intake governance, ensuring strong business cases and ROI validation.
Build and maintain objective prioritization models (NPV, strategic fit, risk, urgency, weighted scoring).
Lead portfolio reviews and “Rank-and-Yank” sessions to stop misaligned projects.
Partner with IT to assess supply vs. demand and address resource overutilization.
Run scenario and “what-if” modeling to assess impact of new/emergency initiatives.
Facilitate resource trade-offs to allocate talent to highest-value projects.
Identify project dependencies and bottlenecks affecting the roadmap.
Create a single source of truth dashboard for portfolio status and strategic impact.
Conduct quarterly portfolio re-alignment from Run to Grow/Transform initiatives.
Analyze subscriber/consumer data to generate insights on trends, behavior, and competitive dynamics.
Monitor competitor activities (launches, pricing, partnerships, positioning) to identify risks and opportunities by segment/location.
Conduct market sizing, segmentation, and forecasting to support investment and commercial strategy.
Assess impact of technology, regulatory, and macroeconomic changes on subscriber behavior and performance.
Support strategic initiatives and business cases with data-driven subscriber assumptions and benchmarks.
Develop and refine subscriber intelligence frameworks for accuracy and relevance.
Provide early warning signals on behavioral shifts and market disruptions.
Ensure data integrity through multi-source validation and standardized reporting.
Ensure end-to-end governance and compliance of strategic projects with standards and reporting requirements.
Monitor project performance (scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk) and escalate deviations.
Develop and standardize PM frameworks, tools, and templates.
Coordinate project planning (charters, WBS, timelines, resource plans).
Consolidate portfolio data into performance reports and executive dashboards.
Provide insights to improve delivery, resource utilization, and prioritization.
Support risk and issue management, including mitigation and escalation.
Align project objectives with overall business strategy (Strategy, Finance, BUs).
Manage documentation, version control, and audit readiness.
Track capacity and resource allocation across the portfolio.
Facilitate cross-functional coordination and communication
Qualification:
- Min. S1 graduate from reputable university, preferably S2 graduate, with major in
IT/Engineering/Economics.
- Telco market business acumen will be an advantage
- Project Management certification will be an advantage
- Expert in oncloud and onpremise database / data warehouse
- Deep Knowledge on insight visualization platform (Power BI, Tableau, Etc)
- Expert in excel Insight analytics / financial modelling
- 10 years of experience in telecommunication / FMCG / retail industry, with min 3 years experience
in business planning, project management, sales & marketing analytic / reporting / commercial
finance.
- Preferably had various assignments in different functions within Marketing/Sales team managing
strategic projects.
- Good understanding of the telco portofolio Sales & Distribution in Indonesia.
- Experienced in leading cross functional teams project with proven track record.
