Role Purpose:
The Head of Department (HoD) - A&T is responsible for leading the Accounting & Tax business unit, ensuring the delivery of robust, compliant, and high-quality financial administration services to external clients. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring regulatory compliance, while also developing and empowering the team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Set and execute the strategic direction for the A&T department in alignment with TMF Indonesiaโs business goals.
Drive revenue growth and margin improvement, with a focus on closing performance gaps and achieving/exceeding budget targets.
Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Team Management & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers, executives, and associates.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a strong, capable team.
Implement internal control procedures and ensure knowledge transfer across all levels.
Ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of accounting and tax services, including financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, payment processing, and management reporting.
Maintain high standards of client communication and relationship management, ensuring transparency and responsiveness.
Support clients during audits and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring quality control, data accuracy, and adherence to both local (PSAK) and international (IFRS) accounting standards.
Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, margin, productivity, and client satisfaction.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all services are delivered in full compliance with local regulations and TMF Groupโs global standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to financial operations and client engagements.
Requirements:
Bachelorโs degree in Accounting (minimum); professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within an accounting services firm or similar environment.
Proven track record in managing large teams and delivering results in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
Deep knowledge of international (IFRS) and local (PSAK) accounting standards.
Strong proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Myob, Accpac, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Navision, Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive change.
