Consultant / Senior Consultant – Lean and Kaizen Transformation .
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and capable
mid to senior-level consultant
to join our team in driving operational excellence across Southeast Asia. You will lead client transformation projects, coach frontline and leadership teams, and deliver impactful training using proven Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM methodologies.
This is a client‑facing role for individuals who thrive in solving complex operational challenges, influencing change, and designing sustainable solutions that unlock measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute client projects across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, construction, and services.
Diagnose operational issues through process mapping, KPI analysis, Gemba walks, and stakeholder interviews.
Design and implement Lean and Kaizen‑based improvement strategies.
Facilitate VSM (Value Stream Mapping), problem‑solving workshops, and Kaizen events.
Ensure successful delivery of measurable outcomes (e.g., lead time reduction, OEE improvement, cost savings).
Client Engagement & Coaching
Build trusted advisory relationships with client sponsors and stakeholders.
Coach leaders and teams in problem‑solving, daily management, and continuous improvement routines.
Present findings, roadmaps, and recommendations to client senior management with clarity and confidence.
Training & Capability Building
Design and deliver engaging, contextualized training programs in Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma.
Support internal and client‑side capability building through mentorship, train‑the‑trainer programs, and certification pathways.
Thought Leadership & Knowledge Development
Contribute to the development of training materials, toolkits, case studies, and methodologies.
Write articles or insights that build Kaizen Institute’s thought leadership in the region.
Internal Collaboration & Growth Support
Guide junior consultants and support onboarding of new hires.
Maintain clear records (timesheets, reports) and contribute to proposals, client pitches, and business development.
Assist with internal operations, especially where required for the Indonesia practice (e.g., HR/admin support).

Technical / Hard Skills
Project management experience with structured reporting and delivery.
Proficient in process analysis tools: VSM, A3, PDCA, RCA, standard work, etc.
Confident in developing executive‑level slide decks and reports.
Visualization and workshop design (e.g., Miro, Lucidchart, PowerPoint).
Technical Tools
Must‑have:
PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Preferred:
Minitab, Tableau/Power BI, Lucidchart/Visio, ThinkCell
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Business Analytics; Master's preferred.
Certified in Lean, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), TPM, or equivalent.
7–12 years of relevant experience, including:
Experience in consulting OR internal CI/OPEX roles.
Willingness to travel regionally for client engagements (typically 20–40%).
