We are currently seeking a highly skilled

Data Architect

to support one of our confidential global technology clients. This is a

3-month contract engagement

with a fully

remote working arrangement , ideal for professionals experienced in designing secure, scalable enterprise data platforms.

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-level data architecture to support analytics and AI workloads. This includes defining architecture standards, access control frameworks, disaster recovery strategies, and long-term scalability for the organization’s data infrastructure.

Responsibilities: Design logical and physical data models for structured and unstructured environments Define multi-layer data architecture (raw, processed, curated/analytics layers) Establish enterprise data governance, classification, and ownership frameworks Architect solutions across relational, NoSQL, search/indexing, vector databases, and object storage platforms Define disaster recovery strategies (RTO/RPO, backup, replication, failover) Develop high-availability and clustering strategies Create schema standards, indexing approaches, and performance optimization guidelines Implement data lifecycle management policies (retention, archival, purging) Ensure audit logging, access traceability, and security compliance Lead capacity planning and scalability strategy Provide architectural oversight for Data Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Analytics teams

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, or related field 5–7+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Engineering Strong expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) Familiarity with search/indexing platforms (e.g., OpenSearch or Elasticsearch) Experience with S3-compatible object storage systems Strong understanding of distributed systems and high-availability design Experience defining backup strategies, RTO/RPO targets Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and audit logging principles

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree (preferred) Experience with enterprise on-prem environments Exposure to AI/ML data platforms Familiarity with Kubernetes-based deployments
