Software Engineer (Laravel/ Symphony)

We’re looking for an experienced PHP Software Engineer to join a team maintaining and evolving a business-critical payment platform within a global trading company.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve a PHP-based payment platform

Refactor and optimise existing codebase

Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), optimise queries and indexing

Support integration of external payment providers

Contribute to system reliability and performance in production

Requirements

3+ years of professional PHP experience

Strong hands-on experience with Laravel or Symfony in production

Strong SQL skills (query optimization, indexing, performance tuning)

Experience working on medium-to-high complexity systems

Possess good level of spoken and written English: can communicate technical topics effectively

Beneficially has knowledge of AWS, microservices, React, TypeScript, Go
