Job Role
The Procurement Manager is a hands-on leadership role with strategic accountability for ensuring operational excellence and people development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while acting as Procurement Leader from the site in Cikarang.
The person will be responsible for creating and managing a regional strategy and team operating plan, while shaping long-term improvements in efficiency, cost management, and supplier relationships. Success in this role requires both strong technical grounding and the ability to influence and align teams with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Train, develop, and provide feedback to staff, ensuring alignment with business objectives and promoting the company’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
Supervise site employees, adjust schedules, and coordinate team efforts to manage regional strategy and operating plans.
Design and implement procurement and operations improvement strategies for cost, quality, inventory, and services.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ELS frameworks, including automation, standardization, and productivity solutions to improve OEE and reduce waste.
Maintain quality control processes, lead 5S, housekeeping, and recycling programs, and collaborate with other functions to resolve issues, reduce waste, and simplify processes.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in procurement within manufacturing, including 3+ years in operational leadership in multinational companies.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing or ELS principles.
Familiarity with labels, packaging, adhesives, apparel/garment manufacturing, FMCG, or intelligent labeling/RFID industries.
Professional business-level English for communication with regional/global teams and expatriate leadership.
Skilled in strategic sourcing, including scheduling, planning, budgeting, and financial control.
Strong grounding in Lean operations and ability to link operational performance to financial outcomes.
Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop diverse teams, anticipate problems, and take decisive action.
