Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Data & AI Pre-Sales Specialist to shape and win opportunities across Data, Analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI. You will translate complex architectures into clear business value, craft solution approaches, and partner with Sales, Product, and Delivery to drive technical wins from discovery through PoC and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Discovery & Advisory
Lead discovery workshops to elicit business goals, current-state architecture, and pain points across data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI.
Understand use cases and success metrics; articulate business value, TCO/ROI, and risk mitigations for executive and technical stakeholders.
Design fit-for-purpose architectures using leading cloud/data stacks (Azure, AWS, GCP, Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud / Ali Cloud) and modern patterns (lakehouse, streaming, ELT/ETL, RAG, vector stores, MLOps).
Produce high-quality deliverables: reference architectures, bill of materials, scope assumptions, and implementation roadmaps aligned to delivery capabilities.
Create and deliver compelling demos and storytelling that translate technical depth into business outcomes for non-technical audiences.
Plan and execute PoCs/accelerators: define hypotheses, success criteria, timelines, and acceptance plans; supervise handover to Delivery.
Proposals, RFPs & Commercial Support
Own the technical response for proposals/RFPs: scope, approach, effort drivers, dependencies, and risk registers.
Support pricing, solution sizing, and SOW input; collaborate with Sales on win strategy and competitive positioning.
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
Act as trusted advisor to customers on data, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI strategy and governance.
Work with hyperscaler/partner ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud) for co-sell, funding programs, and solution validation.
Track industry trends, compliance and data-governance practices, and GenAI advancements; feed insights into product roadmaps and sales playbooks.
Contribute reusable assets: demo scripts, discovery templates, calculators, and reference architectures.
Qualifications
Required
3–10 years of pre-sales / solutions engineering / technical consulting in IT, Cloud, Data, AI/ML, and GenAI, with a strong record of technical wins.
Experience on data platforms (lakehouse / warehouse, ETL/ELT, streaming), BI/analytics, and AI/ML services (model hosting, inference, prompt/RAG pipelines).
Practical knowledge of at least one major cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) and familiarity with Huawei Cloud and Alibaba Cloud offerings.
Ability to produce clear architectures, estimates/assumptions, and business-value narratives (TCO, ROI, payback).
Excellent communication and executive-ready presentation skills; fluency in English required and Bahasa Indonesia highly preferred.
Willingness to travel within Indonesia and occasionally within SEA.
Preferred
Experience with GenAI solution patterns (prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, grounding, safety/guardrails) and MLOps/model lifecycle.
Proficiency with Python/SQL for prototypes (nice to have, not mandatory).
Industry certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP Data/AI) and familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot) and proposal tooling.
Technical win rate and conversion from discovery/PoC to SOW.
Pipeline influence and velocity (cycle-time reduction, stage progression).Quality of deliverables (proposal scorecards, customer feedback).
Reusable assets created and enablement delivered to Sales/Delivery.
