Test & Commisioning Engineer

Overview We are currently recruiting professional candidates for the Test & Commissioning Engineer position to join and work at High Volt Technology (HVT).

PT High Volt Technology (HVT) is a national company, domiciled in Jakarta, engaged in the power sector with main business lines in EPC, Trading, Service and EHV/HV testing of transmission and distribution equipment. HVT provides expertise in EHV/HV and on-site testing up to 500 kV and serves major power companies and other power utility entities.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality control testing and commissioning on components and final products, including functionality, speed, and safety standards at substations.

Inspect to identify defects and malfunctions.

Develop test environments and test cases for all electrical systems.

Analyze test results, detect problems, and identify the root cause of malfunctions.

Suggest and implement improvements and enhancements to operational procedures.

Document technical problems and their solutions.

Establish automated testing systems for routine inspections.

Submit periodic reports to relevant superiors.

Perform other tasks assigned by superiors.

Promote and implement Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental principles within the Company.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or at least 3 years of experience working in the testing and commissioning of GIS/AIS substation projects, including HV apparatus and protective relays.

Ability to test, operate, and read equipment, as well as analyze drawings related to electrical testing and commissioning.

Ability to develop work plans and prepare documentation related to electrical testing and commissioning.

Ability to resolve issues related to control and protection systems.

Ability to collaborate with other engineers or work independently.

Ability to coordinate with other departments and superiors.

Adequate communication skills.

Willingness to work outside the city.
