Job Summary The Data Center Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems inside data center facilities. This includes ensuring that all mechanical systems such as HVAC, cooling, and plumbing work efficiently and reliably to support the critical infrastructure of the data center. The role focuses on mechanical design and system performance, energy efficiency, and ongoing support of mechanical operations.

Key Responsibilities Design, review, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling units (e.g., chillers, CRAH/CRAC), pumps, and associated piping specific for data center environments. Conduct thermal load calculations and system sizing to ensure heating, cooling, and ventilation systems perform optimally and reliably. Support the implementation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems during new builds, upgrades, and expansions. Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize mechanical equipment to ensure continuous, high-availability operation of the facility. Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, BIM/CFD teams, and vendors to deliver integrated mechanical solutions. Participate in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to support cost-effective, high-performance operations. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, safety protocols, and performance requirements throughout all phases of system lifecycle. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendations related to mechanical design and system performance.
