Job Description

Position: Technical Chemist

Well Established Oleochemicals Supplier MNC

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus

Working Location: Pasir Panjang

Outpatient Medical Benefits and Dental Benefits Provided

Main Responsibilities Customer Technical Servicing

Provide day-to-day support and guidance on all product and process technical requirements.

Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure that customer technical requirements are met on time.

Provide technical advice (e.g., product specifications, applications, quality) to customers, Sales, and the Supply Chain team.

Manage customer-specific and new product specification requests.

Answer customer technical questionnaires.

Manufacturing Technical Support

Provide technical support by working with manufacturing plants in cross-functional teams to assist with process and quality improvements, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution.

Ensure that technology and quality standards for new and revised formulas/specifications are successfully transferred into manufacturing processes.

Provide technical expertise to the Engineering department to ensure new projects and plant modifications align with customer expectations and requirements.

Business Development

Supporting new business opportunities/assessment for currently marketed products as well as for new products framed in the oleochemical industry.

Participate in the process of analysis and evaluation of new investment projects.

Job Requirements

Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry.

Technical experience within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry, preferably with downstream exposure, familiarity with application development processes that convert basic oleochemical derivatives into finished, market-ready formulations.

This position is based in Singapore, with frequent business travel required to Indonesia.
