Operational Supervisor (Turbocharger & Power Plant)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in
turbocharger
and/or
power plant
operations
Proven experience supervising overhaul, inspection, and troubleshooting of turbocharger systems type of turbocharger : MAN, ABB, Mitsubishi, KBB and etc.
Experience leading field technicians in shipyard, onboard, or industrial plant projects
Strong ability to prepare detailed service reports, inspection reports, and progress reports
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) for reporting and documentation
Solid understanding of diesel engines and rotating equipment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willing to travel and work onsite
Job Responsibilities:
Manage overall day-to-day operational activities, both onsite and in the workshop.
Supervise and coordinate field operational activities of technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform and oversee troubleshooting, inspection, overhaul, and repair of major turbocharger brands such as MAN Energy Solutions, ABB, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and KBB Turbo, as well as related power plant equipment.
Oversee field service activities including dismantling, reassembly, lifting, and shifting of turbocharger components.
Supervise workshop operations such as rotor blasting, dynamic balancing, and specialized repairs of turbine blades and compressor wheels.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with SOP, technical specifications, and safety standards.
Lead and direct team members, ensuring clear understanding of job scope based on customer requirements.
Plan and schedule project preparation activities, including spare parts, technical documentation, tools (standard and OEM special tools), and consumables.
Monitor and control the usage of tools, spare parts, and project materials.
Coordinate operational work plans with internal departments, customers, ship owners, agents, and shipyards.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all work performed, including measurements, inspection data, photos, checklists, and service reports (daily, weekly, and final reports.)
Address customer requirements and complaints, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion of agreed work scopes.
Support the commercial department in maintaining client relationships and identifying potential business opportunities based on onsite project experience.
