Supplier Quality Engineer

Chery Indonesia is the local subsidiary of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese automotive company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of passenger vehicles.

Responsibilities: Evaluate and audit potential suppliers during the supplier selection and introduction process. Manage APQP activities for supplier components, ensuring smooth development from product design through mass production. Conduct trial assembly verification for new or engineering-changed components and oversee PPAP approval. Lead the resolution of supplier-related quality issues, including rapid response, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor and audit supplier processes and products, including annual process and product audits, and handle quality concerns related to KD components and market complaints.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in SQE, R&D, or quality management within the 4W automotive industry. Fluent in Indonesian and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage. Strong understanding of OEM quality requirements and automotive parts development processes. Proficiency in IATF 16949 standards and quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D, and 5 Why analysis.
