Job Description
PT Ekspansi Bisnis Indonesia is entering an accelerated growth phase to capture the increasing wave of Chinese FDI into Indonesia. The China Desk Manager will serve as the commercial spearhead of this expansion, responsible for building strategic pipelines, converting opportunities into revenue, and positioning the firm as the preferred partner for Chinese investors entering Indonesia.
This is not a coordination role. This is a P&L-driven, market-making leadership position.
Strategic Objectives (First 12–24 Months)
Establish the China Desk as a primary revenue engine within the firm.
Secure strategic mandates from Chinese corporates, SOEs, private equity funds, and industrial groups.
Build a high-value referral ecosystem across chambers, consulates, industrial parks, and financial institutions.
Strengthen brand visibility within the Chinese business community in Indonesia.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle: origination, pitching, negotiation, and closing.
Deliver aggressive annual revenue growth targets.
Develop and execute key account strategies for major Chinese investors.
Build long-term, recurring client relationships.
Proactively target high-growth sectors including:
Manufacturing relocation & industrial supply chains
EV and battery ecosystem
Infrastructure & energy investments
Represent the firm at high-level bilateral forums and investment events.
Lead structuring strategies for:
Licensing and regulatory navigation
Land acquisition & industrial estate advisory
Translate regulatory complexity into commercial clarity for Chinese decision-makers.
Build strategic partnerships with:
Chinese business associations and chambers
Local government stakeholders
Financial institutions
Act as a trusted bridge between Chinese executives and Indonesian regulators.
Requirements
1. Professional Experience
5-8 years in corporate services, cross-border advisory, consulting, legal, tax, or investment-related fields.
Proven track record of closing high-value mandates.
Strong exposure to Chinese FDI transactions into Indonesia
2. Commercial Mindset
Comfortable operating with revenue targets and performance KPIs.
Strong negotiation and closing capability.
Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and growth-focused.
3. Technical Competence
Deep understanding of:
PMA structures
OSS and licensing system
Familiarity with China outbound investment regulations is a strong advantage
4. Language & Cultural Fluency
Strong understanding of Chinese business culture and decision-making hierarchy.
