The
Wholesale Operations Manager
is responsible for managing and optimizing the wholesale operations of a retail business. This role ensures efficient order processing, inventory control, distribution, and coordination between sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to support wholesale customers and achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Wholesale Operations Management
Oversee the end-to-end wholesale order process (order entry, confirmation, fulfillment, delivery).
Ensure accurate and timely processing of bulk orders from retail partners, distributors, and corporate clients.
Monitor operational workflows and improve efficiency.
2. Inventory & Supply Coordination
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
Monitor inventory allocation for wholesale vs retail channels.
Forecast demand based on sales trends and seasonal requirements.
3. Logistics & Distribution
Manage shipping schedules and distribution planning for wholesale deliveries.
Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and internal warehouse teams.
Ensure on-time delivery and minimize shipping errors or delays.
4. Sales Support
Work closely with the wholesale sales team to support key accounts.
Ensure operational readiness for promotions, new product launches, and bulk campaigns.
Prepare order reports, sales data, and operational insights.
5. Client Relationship Management
Act as a point of contact for wholesale clients regarding order status, logistics, and operational issues.
Resolve customer service problems related to orders or delivery.
6. Process Improvement
Implement systems or tools to improve order management and reporting.
Develop SOPs for wholesale operations.
Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, fulfillment time, and operational cost.
7. Team Management
Supervise operations staff including order processing, warehouse coordination, or logistics support.
Train staff on systems, procedures, and customer service standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
3-5 years of experience
in retail/wholesale operations in fashion/sports/apparel sector
Strong analytical skills with experience in demand forecasting and inventory planning
Proven ability to optimize processes and implement SOPs
Good stakeholder management skills across sales, warehouse, and logistics teams
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Passion in sports
