ROLE OVERVIEW
As the
People & Culture Lead , you will be responsible for building and managing the entire people ecosystem at Kuy Studio — from recruitment, culture, performance management, to leadership development.
You will work directly with the leadership team to ensure that the organization grows
with strong culture, clear systems, and high-performing people.
This is a builder role
for someone who enjoys creating structure, nurturing talent, and shaping a company’s culture from the inside.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Team Building
Lead recruitment strategy to attract top talent across creative, operational, and strategic roles
Build structured hiring processes from sourcing to onboarding
Ensure we bring in people who are not only talented but also aligned with Kuy Studio’s values
Culture & Employee Experience
Develop and maintain a strong, healthy workplace culture
Design initiatives that improve employee engagement, motivation, and retention
Ensure the workplace remains collaborative, inspiring, and growth-oriented
Performance & Growth System
Implement performance management systems (OKR / KPI / evaluation frameworks)
Design career development and talent growth pathways
Work with leadership to ensure individuals and teams perform at their best
HR System & Operations
Build structured HR policies and internal processes
Manage employee relations and organizational wellbeing
Ensure compliance with labor regulations and best practices
Leadership Support
Partner with leadership in building organizational structure
Provide insights on team performance, hiring needs, and culture development
Help scale the organization while maintaining strong internal alignment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who is both
strategic and people-focused , and who enjoys building systems while also nurturing individuals.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in HR / People & Culture / Talent roles
Experience building HR systems or teams in growing companies
Strong communication and leadership skills
Strong understanding of recruitment, performance management, and culture building
Ability to think strategically while executing operationally
Must be located in commutable distance to Malang, East Java
Bonus if you have:
Experience in startups, creative industries, or fast-growing organizations
Experience implementing OKR / performance frameworks
Passion for developing people and shaping collaborative workplace culture
